Do I have to be B-negative to help?

The ideal donor for Cleveland has B-negative blood.
That said, if you’re not sure of your type, the transplant team can help you find out.
Starting the screening does not lock you into anything.

Is living kidney donation safe?

Donors go through careful medical and psychological screening to be sure it’s safe for them.
You’ll get clear information about risks, recovery, and follow-up care before making any decision.

Will I have to pay for anything as a donor?

No. Cleveland’s insurance covers donor medical costs for evaluation, surgery, and follow-up related to the donation.
Travel or lost wage support may also be available; ask the transplant team for details.
